Three panel comic. Panel 1: young man in a hoodie looking morose and sitting on a swing set. He says “she’s breaking up with me…” Panel 2: next to him is a glyptodon, an early ancestor of armadillos. With his head in his hands, the young man says “what do I do glyptodon?” Panel 3: the glyptodon says “I’m like an early ancestor of armadillos. The young man angrily replies, “are you even listening man?”

Student collage project - Hobbes and Rousseau while reading Lord of the Flies
A student made collage. The outside edges are red, black and orange. The middle, like its erupting from the page, are blues and purples, with the French figure Liberte in the center In large font at the top - “WAR”
Next line says “Thomas Hobbes”

“The life of man is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.”

THE GOVERNMENT WIL PREVENT THIS and IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY

There are black and white images of people in gas masks and airplanes. Brown and green collage background. A brain in the center. Old school political cartoon figures on either side of page. “Man is born free” written across the top HOBBES in letters across the top. “The fence of freedom hides barbarism” in cut out letters diagonally across the page. Then it says “when given freedom and lack of authority humans tend to turn to violent means, as an act of self-preservation they will fight, all the world will turn to chaos.”

there are four teams (bills, ravens, lions, vikings) who are really good, really entertaining, have very compelling narratives, and would be exceptionally satisfying to see as super bowl champs. if the chiefs threepeat it will be more annoying and loathsome than anything the patriots ever did

Fuck Your Lecture on Craft, My People Are Dying
BY NOOR HINDI
Colonizers write about flowers.
I tell you about children throwing rocks at Israeli tanks seconds before becoming daisies.
I want to be like those poets who care about the moon.
Palestinians don't see the moon from jail cells and
prisons.
It's so beautiful, the moon.
They're so beautiful, the flowers.
I pick flowers for my dead father when I'm sad.
He watches Al Jazeera all day.
I wish Jessica would stop texting me Happy Ramadan.
I know I'm American because when I walk into a room
something dies.
Metaphors about death are for poets who think ghosts
care about sound.
When I die, I promise to haunt you forever.
One day, I'll write about the flowers like we own them.

I love the Charlie Brown Christmas special. There's an eerie loneliness that hangs over the whole thing. The music, Charlie Brown's depression, the dying little tree, the flatness of the children's voices, the inevitability of death. A Christmas masterpiece.

It is time.
An enormous raccoon the size of a building jumping out from behind a snow covered mountain. The text reads: you can't summon the grand raccoon to end winter. You can: keep your space heater at least 3ft away from anything flammable. Plug it into the wall, never a power strip. Turn it off before you go to sleep.
