Miriel, dressed in a flowy dress and gold jewelry, is sitting relaxed in a filled bathtub. Her long hair is fanned over the edge of the tub. Her left arm is casually propped up on the edge of the tub. The tub stands on a marble floor of star patterned tiles, submerged a few inches underwater.

It also makes me think of faithful númenóreans that were young during the last years of Ar-Gimilzôr's reign and had their youth marked by persecution and fear, who must've been so relieved when Tar-Palantir was crowned, thinking they could now live in a relative peace, 1/2

110

Tar-Míriel's wife 💍 @islandofnumenor.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

One thing that kills me when rereading the Akallabêth is that Númenor had already been centuries headed for the Fall. Adding Tar-Palantir's reign and Míriel being usurped and forced to marry Pharazôn was "unnecessary" in the sense that Pharazôn could be the natural 1/2

Tar-Míriel's wife 💍 @islandofnumenor.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I love how both trop Míriel's most popular ships are kinda courtly love but even though in that trope it's expected from the knight (Elendil/Galadriel) to save her, it's HER who ends up going to their aid (giving Galadriel the army she needs/saving Elendil's faith and life)

Seeing Míriel and Elendil using their faith and their love for their country as a kind of justification for their expressions of love between them only makes "what of my heart?" And "where is my place if not with you?" more meaningful (and heartbreaking) because we see how

Míriel asking Elendil "what of my heart?"

Elendil asking Míriel "Then where is mine, if not with you?"

Thanks to Everyone for your patience. We've got an update now regarding Sales. We have determined the issue is with the European printer; the one ordered from the US printer had no problems. As such we have decided to open the US + Rest of World orders first. Sales will start 25th Sept from 12pm.

A background of Numenor from Rings of Power with Earendil's statue and his arm gesturing to the calendar that's been pasted into the picture.

Text says: The Numenor Faithful Pinup Charity Calendar
on sale for North America + Rest of World (excluding Europe). starting: Friday 25 Sept; 12:00pm GMT

Important Update

Sales will open for North America and
Rest of the World (excluding UK/Europe) on Friday 25th September from 12:00pm GMT.

Unfortunately there was a really bad sequence error issue with the European printer where all the calendars were misprinted and out of order.

The Admin Team is working on some alternative options (as the printer is not being very forthcoming with updates or fixes), but we are hoping that we can open European orders some time in October - even if we have to do it manually.

We apologise for the delay and hope you can bear with us just a little longer!

*European folks can still order a calendar from the North American listing if you want to, but please be aware that shipping will cost more and take longer.
