Slowly progressing on the OFMD embroidery hoop! And hoping to cast something something new on the knitting needles this weekend 🤞

“Stede,” the other man says, shaking his hand. Stede’s hand is warm and soft, his handshake firm. Ed likes him a lot already. “Still, though. It’s a little… personal.”
“You don’t have to tell me,” Ed repeats, shrugging, trying to pretend he’s much cooler and much less invested than he really is. Because he does want to know. He’s always loved a little bit of gossip, and this feels like prime gossip material, even though it’s from and about someone he’s just met. And he loves long stories, which means that this Stede is already proving to be fascinating, and Ed absolutely wants to know more about him. “But I am curious. I just like it, y’know.” Ed turns to look at the piano again.

I visited Bricks of Wonder today - a Lego exhibition by Dirk Denoyelle, currently on display in Eindhoven until May 3. I'm very glad I went, because the pieces were amazing in person (and so was the audio tour!). Here are some of my fave pieces :D (all of them, actually, but these are just A+)

A yellow caution board made out of Lego. It reads "Caution - No climbing". It's on the exhibition floor. And yes, it is fully made out of Lego.

A Lego piece inspired by Mondriaan. It features Mondriaan's classic blue, red, yellow, and white squares with black borders but in 3D (ie some of the boxes stick out). There's a portrait of Mondriaan worked into those boxes, too - all in what seems to be greyscale but are actually various shades of blue and red as well as grey and black.
This was a fully 3D piece - the sides and back were also massive. I think it was approx 2m high.

A piece that portrays Dali with his famous pointy mustache. This piece, however, depicts the mustache as something that leads to a swing that a girl is swinging on. Yes, all made out of Lego yet again.

A yellow caution board made out of Lego. It reads "Caution - Loose bricks". It's on the exhibition floor. And yes, it is fully made out of Lego. To the right of this particular sign are several hundred blue Lego pieces. Yes. All on the exhibition floor. You're encouraged to play with them.
