Zu Eingang berichtete die Gründerin der Initiative, Beatrix von Storch, von beeindruckenden Erfolgen: Über die von Zivile Koalition e.V. mitbetriebene Website abgeordneten-check.de ist es gelungen, eine wahre Sturzwelle an Protestemails an Bundestagsabgeordnete wegen der verfehlten Euro-Rettung zu initiieren. Bis gestern Abend erreichten 180.000 elektronische Fragen und Beschwerden die Abgeordneten – so etwas gab es wohl noch nie. Als Erfolg kann verbucht werden, dass die Abstimmung über den permanenten Euro-Rettungsschirm ESM aufgrund der Unruhe in Bevölkerung und Parlament bereits von Dezember auf Januar verschoben werden musste.

Das Podium war hochkarätig besetzt: Frau Ostermann vom Bundesverband Junger Unternehmer, der Euro-Kläger K.A. Schachtschneider, der ehem. BDI-Chef Hans-Olaf Henkel sowie die Euro-Dissidenten Frank Schäffler (MdB FDP) und Klaus Peter Willsch (MdB CDU, der allerdings wegen einer Sitzung des Haushaltsausschusses verspätet eintraf). Der aus dem Fernsehen bekannte Carlos A. Gebauer leitete die Debatte."

Im zweiten Teil skizzierte Henkel seine Vorschläge zum weiteren Vorgehen. Als erstes hoffe er, dass Schäffler beim FDP-Mitgliederentscheid eine Mehrheit für seine Anti-Rettungsschirm-Linie bekomme. In diesem Falle könne man die FDP weiter unterstützen, Schäffler könne Bundeskanzler werden … Falls nicht, müsse eine neue Partei aufgebaut werden. Dieses Vorgehen wurde von Schachtschneider explizit unterstützt. Frau von Storch sagte für eine solche Partei ebenfalls Unterstützung zu, betonte jedoch, dass für die Zivile Koalition die Organisierung des Bürgerprotestes Vorrang habe. Sie wolle „der Mehrheit eine Stimme geben“. Ebenfalls für eine neue Partei sprach sich aus dem Publikum Karl Feldmeyer aus. Der jahrzehntelange FAZ-Parlamntskorrespondent ist heute einer der Macher von abgeordneten-check.de.

BY THE WAY If you've updated to Windows 11 recently, you're probably on version 25H2. There's a new setting in Settings: Privacy & Security. Scroll aaaaaaaalll the way to the bottom and you'll see "Text and Image Generation." TURN IT OFF.
