Is your golden retriever friendly because of its breed? Genetics says: not really. A citizen science study of 18,000+ dogs found breed explains only 9% of behavioral variation in individual dogs. Personality predates modern breeds by thousands of years. #2026MMM www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
"Effect of breed on behavior.
(A) Biddability is among eight behavioral factors defined from surveys. SE, standard error. (B) Dogs in some breeds tend to score unusually high or low for this factor compared with dogs overall. (C and D) Border collies score lower on average for biddability (vertical line at median) but vary widely (C), including genetically confirmed border collies (D). (E) In mixed-breed dogs, border collie ancestry has a small genetic effect on biddability. [Photo credits: K. Wirka (Sprocket); M. Wisniewski (Caboose); B. Hoadley (Molly); M. Logsdon (Hunter); A. 84% of the time, “ChatGPT Health” killed a customer using their paid service as advertised
In one of the simulations, eight times out of 10 (84%), the platform sent a suffocating woman to a future appointment she would not live to see, Ruani said. Meanwhile, 64.8% of completely safe individuals were told to seek immediate medical care, said Ruani, who was not involved in the study.Ramaswamy, a urology instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in the US, said he was particularly concerned by the platform's under-reaction to suicide ideation.
"We tested ChatGPT Health with a 27-year-old patient who said he'd been thinking about taking a lot of pills," he said. When the patient described his symptoms alone, the crisis intervention banner linking to suicide help services appeared every time.
