My take on criminal treatment is that solitary confinement, the death penalty, and life without parole are all obviously unjust. Eventually, even the worst people should have a chance to a free life again and no one should die in prison. As a gifted soul once put it: get over it.

The cornell case is not rape because substance use inhibited the victim's capacity to validly consent. The victim did not give consent to at least 5 people, and legibly expressed she withheld it to her assailants by trying to hide, push them away etc

ICE's new policy is unprecedented. People who have detained for months are suddenly disappearing from the locator system — even if they haven't been moved. And people newly arrested are not showing up at all, their location now hidden from view. This will severely interfere with legal access.
