In a world where headlines spread without sources, Wikipedia takes a different approach: radical transparency. Every edit and discussion is visible to everyone, making knowledge creation a collective, accountable process that builds trust 🧵⬇️ (1/4)

Twenty-five years ago, Wikipedia was an unlikely idea: a place where anyone could share free knowledge. Today, it’s one of the most visited sites on Earth, not powered by corporate ads, but by people.

My wife started DADA QUEST in a “dimly lit room”… 20 minutes later she was a spy on an assassination mission. Or maybe you'd like to explore the secrets of the Crenshaw Library? That’s the promise, chaos, and sometimes surreal whimsy of this retro text adventure with an AI game master. dada.quest
A text adventure game reminiscent of an old green text terminal. The title reads "DADA QUEST System Version 1.0.0". There is a large main area with a prompt and a text box underneath for the player to enter a response. The player is currently on Turn 0 and has 5 points. There are also various icons visible.

The prompt reads:
"You stand in a cluttered attic above an old shop. Dusty trunks and shelves overflow with strange trinkets-maps, masks, and jars whose contents you can’t quite make out. A trapdoor creaks slightly in the floorboards.

What would you like to do?"

Snake-in-the-Box Problem xkcd.com/3125/
Comic. A snake slithers around a hypercube. No two non-consecutive parts of its coils can be on adjacent corners. [Three small 4-dimensional hypercubes showing disallowed options with one large cube with snake wrapped around it. Dimensions = 4. Max Length - 7.] Snake(N) = Longest snake that can fit in an n-dimensional hypercube. Snake(N=1, 2, 3…8) = 1, 2, 4, 7, 13, 26, 50, 98. Snake(N>8) = UNSOLVED. [caption] It turns out every scientific field has a key thought experiment that involves putting a cute animal in a weird box for no reason. So far, quantum mechanics and graph theory have found theirs, but most other fields are still working on it.

Panel 1: A swordsman with a short, ragged red cape, 2 brown belts, and a shoulderpad, stands with a wide stance and his sword drawn in his right hand. We see him from behind the shoulder of his opponent, who seems to be wearing blue. Something is written on the red swordsman's chest, illegible from this distance.

Panel 2: We zoom in. What's written on the red swordsman's chest is "GOOD". He says "We could have been friends, you know."

Panel 3: The perspective is turned as his opponent is revealed to be wearing a long blue cloak and rectangular framed glasses. The wind billows his cloak.

Panel 4: The blue swordsman shifts his cloak to draw his sword, which glints in the sunlight with a "shiiiiing". It is revealed that on his chest is written "PERFECT". He responds: "No. We couldn't have."
