Organisations such as New Internationalist & ACDG/CIGE were arguing this with the Peters projection map in the 1980s and those in charge of school geography curricular actively resisted using it to align with conservative visions for the subject to ensure it remained in the National Curriculum

One more thing about the Tyneside nurdle crisis is that the clean-up efforts have drawn attention to all the other plastic in our sea. This volunteer’s video shows all the plastics left after sieving out the nurdles; what’s not visible is the tiny tiny microplastics that wash through the nets.

Lots of useful information & links to key resources for #Skystorians, but NB the Enslavement Registers did not make the records of 4 million enslave people searchable to the public: that was done by Ancestry partnered with UCL Centre for the Study of the Legacies of British Slavery historians.

I can't summon the vocabulary for the last (week? months? years?) of emotional regulation required on this topic. I can't say I don't have *any* friends who never experienced SA, but most have. Mine was at 13-- or the worst, anyway. As a historian, my point is that college SA is in a context.
