Not really sure which is worse, MPs’ boring and insincere PR messages on social media, or the boring and attention-seeking blowhard responses. And on a Saturday night when there are much better things to do.

The state of this. A 14-year-old story, reheated to look like breaking news and embellished with gory detail, spat out across Reach's national and local news sites and aggregated into AOL feeds. There are still ways of funding journalism. This should not be one of them.

25 years ago today I was on a disastrous secondment at the BBC that torpedoed my confidence, trying to help to run a TV news show's unread, awful website. Loads of memories but I do remember TV people throwing wobblies because the website crashed, even though nobody was reading it anyway. 2001!

The only way to do a CIC return each year is paper and you have to send a cheque. Then you have to do HMRC digitally via third party software. Let's see if this offers anything to fix that mess.

I simply do not understand what's going on in Labour that renders its leaders incapable of finding a TV camera and speaking out against street violence. Even if you assume they agree about immigration, violence is wrong, unpopular AND against the interests of any even vaguely left wing govt.

Most Londoners would probably come up with the same default list, if not wishing to let people know where they actually drink … - terrible pub near work that your team goes to because it’s convenient; - your average local; - somewhere a bit edgy that you had a big night in about 20 years ago.

people will mock the choices here - a terrible but conveniently located Sam Smiths, a demolished Wetherspoons in Barking - but I think this is actually quite clever branding for a Prime Minister trying to show he's just a normal, average bloke with no frighteningly interesting opinions

#OnThisDay 45 years ago traffic ceased between Victoria Park Junction and Poplar. 6 years later it reopened as part of the DLR, but a few weeks before closure here's a railtour on the branch, showing the lackadaisical attitude to health & safety back then! buff.ly/1Uo0fR0
Shortly before closure of the line the RCTS ran a railtour to Poplar Docks. Participants climb down from the DMU at the facing points at the dock and set off to explore the area. Oh for the days before 'Health & Safety' when this sort of thing was allowed! June 1981. Today this part of the line has been re-used by the Docklands Light Railway and is unrecognisable.
