Badenoch claims £2,700 a month from the taxpayer to rent a grade II-listed farmhouse with six bedrooms. The property sits within the highest council tax bracket, costing over £4,000 in council tax a year, which the Essex MP also claims on expenses. "Best welfare" is being an MP.

One thing I find endlessly funny about the rise of AI is that it has revealed that there is a large number of people who believe that the reason they wrote essays at school or university is their teachers were desperately waiting for them to provide a definite answer to “Lear: what’s up with him?”

Yeah they are fun to watch. I've seen the last few games and they play like a well drilled club side. Like you say. Probably an out and out goalscorer away from being a team that would qualify for most tournaments.

Put simply: if United signed 17 new players today, all on £200k a week, without selling anyone, United’s wage bill would only match what City pay their players. 17 new players. £200k a week each. Just to match City.

Some middle manager at Man City had to tell their IT team to custom-build a server that stopped the Premier League copy/pasting any text from the documents they handed over. "Yeah, we're innocent, but can you just make life as hard as possible for the people investigating us?" Shameless.
Screenshot of an article stating that Manchester City initially uploaded documents for the Premier League investigation to a server that tracked who accessed them and prevented text from being copied or pasted, significantly slowing the investigation. After further legal appeals by the Premier League, City moved the evidence — including emails, financial spreadsheets and other documents — to a more accessible platform.

Disgusting cheats.
Screenshot of an article in which an investigative sports journalist recalls sitting outside a locked-down hospice in 2020 while visiting his terminally ill wife, Helen. He receives a call from a senior sports desk editor warning him that a Manchester City fan has posted his home address on Twitter alongside threats. The editor says the newspaper should help have the post removed and suggests reporting it to police.Continuation of the article stating that, within hours of the journalist’s back-page story, messages appeared on a prominent Manchester City internet forum and social media saying that Helen deserved to die because of his reporting on City. The journalist reflects on the psychological impact of the abuse, saying the result was “nothing good.”

There's an argument for scrapping the £100K salary limit for childcare but saying those on £100K salaries are uniquely hard working is bollocks. Workers on the early bus on their way to cleaning, caring, hospitality jobs work just as hard. Tories believe wealth is acquired by virtue. It ain't.

* Which players got robbed by Man City? * City won the title three times in the years 09/10-17/18. The three teams that came second contained 33 players, including Gerrard, Suárez, Zlatan, Rashford, Pogba and Mata, who never (or haven’t yet) won a Premier League winners medal. It's quite a list.
Man U finished second in 2011/12 but every single squad member who made 5 or more appearances had already won or would go on to win a Premier League title.

Liverpool – 2013/14
Steven Gerrard
Luis Suárez
Philippe Coutinho
Daniel Agger
Lucas Leiva
Martin Škrtel
Simon Mignolet
Joe Allen
Martin Kelly
Jon Flanagan
José Enrique
Mamadou Sakho
Luis Alberto
Iago Aspas
Aly Cissokho

Man U – 2017/18
Zlatan Ibrahimović
Marcus Rashford
Scott McTominay
Paul Pogba
Juan Mata
Romelu Lukaku
Daley Blind
Luke Shaw
Ander Herrera
Alexis Sánchez
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Marouane Fellaini
Marcos Rojo
Anthony Martial
