I’m glad this was mentioned in the article that male breast cancer is much more likely to be caused by carcinogenic exposures (read: occupational) than female breast cancer which has the added “benefit”of letting industry/employers off the hook.

I have done burden of disease studies, and this is a correct take. Policymakers want them because they aid in decisions but they are … intense thought exercises - and they deserve critique! In fact I’m on a conference panel soon where we’ll talk about the good, the bad and the ugly of them.
