The UK implementing the mandated segregation of trans people in aspects of society, from bathrooms to hospitals and schools is why I tell people to never vote for anti-trans Dems. They cannot be allowed to spread in the party like the cancer they are. www.theguardian.com/society/2026...

I have said it before and I will say it again: hospital wards are not “single sex spaces”. Cis men on the wards I was in: doctors, nurses, porters, volunteers doing tea rounds, cleaners, catering staff, security staff, and random visitors to see other patients at all hours of the day.

The ghosts in PacMan are conscious. They can distinguish between when PacMan has eaten one of those large dots and when he hasn't, knowing when to chase and when to retreat, aware of the suffering should he catch them at the wrong time. I have no more patience for hedging on this matter.

I have already heard from trans constituents who are avoiding essential NHS screening and treatment for fear of being treated without respect and dignity. Ministers told me: “the revised guidance will support the privacy, dignity and safety of all patients” How exactly does this do that?

Fiona Bruce in the One Big Thank You section of The One Show, facing camera, with a person in a 'Corbyn' t-shirt clearly visible over her right shoulder. The logo is in the style of the famous Run DMC logo: white capital letter type on a black background between upper and lower red bars, reading COR and then BYN underneath

i think it's easier to just say "immigration is fine" than come up with increasingly strained descriptions of why moving from france to germany for 6 years or whatever isn't immigration somehow
Freedom of Movement is not Immigration, it's the equivalent of living in Worcestershire and travelling to London to work during the week and renting a flat. Which I did for nearly ten years.

And before that I did the same to Leiden in NL, though it was company accommodation.

The Times doing their usual reframing of a straightforward case of an author and publisher facing the long arm of the law and deciding to stand up for their principles. So naturally, it’s time to speak to an (allegedly) racist author that was so inconvenienced the BBC ran a six-part series on her?
“Times Radio: Sally Rooney could spark ‘purity spiral’ after pulling books from UK shelves over Palestine Action support
Thursday October 15 2026, 10.10am, The Times
Sally Rooney’s decision to pull her works from UK shelves over her previous commitment to donate the proceeds of her book sales to Palestine Action is “unnerving” and could spark a “purity spiral”, says author Kate Clanchy, who received an apology from her publisher four years after her book received an online backlash for alleged racism.”

I have never seen coverage of a live trial, one involving allegations of multiple sex attacks on multiple women, framed in a more distasteful way. It's not 'Fame under fire' it's a rape trial. And it involves actual women. And this from the *checks notes* BBC
BBC screengrab from within their Russell Brand trial coverage. Image of Brand in 70s-style aviator glasses, with earpods in, blank expression. Long dark wavy hair, black and grey beard, dark unbuttoned shirt. All on a fire red/orange and black background
BBC logo top and centre, underneath a subdeck reading: Fame Under Fire. Then the headline 'Russell Brand On Trial'.
The words 'fire'and 'trial' are coloured to look like they are glowing orange at the bottom
