I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but UK 30-year gilt yields haven't topped 6% this century. Until now. Does this matter? Yes ... all that debt that governments have been building up is costing eye-watering amounts to service. And that makes Mr Burnham's ambitious plans ever-harder to finance
