Hello, world. It's September 2026, I've spent three years beating Boutique Airlines in court and now I have to compel them to pay me the legal fees the court has awarded for this nightmare. Remember, they sued me. Aviation journalism, it's just about as glamorous as it gets.

When BOB'S BURGERS began airing in 2011 it was considered totally realistic for a struggling single-family household to be able to rebuild their restaurant multiple times a year after it gets destroyed by wacky hi-jinks and rambunctious misadventures. That's what neoliberalism took from you.

Guys has anyone actually read this article?
The figure opened the door. Tall and gaunt, its hand reached out to grab the doorknob from the darkness of the house that obscured its face and all its defining features. Decades of life had taught me that all bipeds of this height and shape were human beings, and that experience, that supposed fact, served as a flimsy barricade that rattled against the waves of reptilian terror beating against my psyche, telling me something was wrong.
"Congressman Kean?" I asked.
"Congressman Kean," rattled back the figure.
Shivers ran down my spine. An idea occurred to me. I could turn and run. I could run into the bright sun and the green grass under the blue sky, my shoes striking the hot asphalt again and again, until I disappeared into the endless New Jersey suburbs, far from the darkness inside that house and whatever lived in it.
But that idea was nonsense. The second I knocked on that door I was dropped with a noose around my neck from Owl Creek Bridge, and fantasize as I might about taking a different path I would continue on the one I was on until I reached the end of the rope.
"Can I come in?" I asked. I was suddenly not afraid, because I knew that fear would not change what would come next.
"Congressman Kean," the voice rattled in agreement.
And so I entered the darkness of the house that had once been the Congressman's with the thing that claimed to be the Congressman. The door shut behind me.

So a lot of Medicaid/re programs for ongoing care (think basic care provided by people with at most a high school education) are provided by a scatter shot of tiny providers serving a vulnerable population, which makes oversight difficult. 🧵

Spain just became one of Europe's cheapest power markets. Here is how.
How wind and solar quietly pushed gas off the margin, and the wholesale price followed.

2012 vs 2024 isn't a great comparison in the first place, since Obama inherited the GFC while post-pandemic inflation didn't start until after Biden took office. In 2008 Republicans lost much worse than Democrats did in 2024. 2008 is a better comparison to 2024 than 2012.
