increasingly I have come to believe that men sexually assault and harass *other men* far more than is clearly understood, and I suspect that grappling with that will be crucial to bringing about real change.

I don't know that it makes him presidential material but Ossoff's ability to just be honest about how much of a pile of shit these people really are should be a model to the party.

If you're wondering why Flock leaves cameras up after a contract end, part of their business model and marketing strategy is being able to advertise that their customers can access data from cameras all over the country. You may have canceled your contract, but the cameras still fuel the system.

A real ahaha monument for me was when I took a bus tmy college campus at 5:45 am and expected it to be less crowded than my normal 8:30 full of students and realized the number of service workers who got to campus way earlier to keep it running.

Your sense of entitlement is shocking. Your insistence on staying in this campaign is going to lead to the GOP winning the seat. Which won't serve anything you profess to value. Such a disqualifying failure of leadership.

So if indeed she did work in "corporate law in Beijing" for an undisclosed employer outside of the major international firm network, it just rings as INCREDIBLY suspicious and exactly the kind of backstory that counterintelligence officers look at with a "huh, interesting."

@bretdevereaux.bsky.social I really cannot emphasize enough how much some of Trump's posts have a tone right out of a school shooter manifesto or the last words of a doomsday cult leader about to take his followers with him to their eternal reword. Dude is not gonna go quietly into that good night.

Look at the shabby state and increasingly authoritarian trajectory of the country and ask yourself if we can endure 2 more years of a lawless Trump administration wreaking havoc with no check from Congress, then vote accordingly. This is not the time for a protest vote or purity politics.

I just spoke about the local impact of this on Prince William County food banks tonight. Awful. -- "More than 100,000 Virginians have lost their SNAP benefits in the last year. ... Can food banks be a substitution for SNAP? I'd have to tell you, absolutely not. They're meant to work in conjunction."

you quite simply love to see it
And yet, as he ringleads Trump’s vengeance campaigns, Miller actively fears retribution will one day come for him. In his more honest moments, he has told confidants about how afraid he is that liberals will try to throw him in prison after Trump is out of power, even if Trump preemptively pardons him, which will almost certainly happen. In these private, candid moments, Miller has told others that he’s convinced Democrats are going to be coming after him, his family, and his colleagues maybe for the rest of his days. Miller has talked about civil lawsuits, and Capitol Hill investigations and subpoenas – but perhaps the thing that stands tallest in his mind is local and state prosecutors who he says want to put him in a “prison cell.” Federal pardons can make it harder to prosecute former U.S. appointees locally, but such clemency does not preempt local and state prosecutions and investigations in the same way that it would federal probes.Miller has also privately said he’s worried that Democratic members of a future federal administration may try to get creative, and hunt for ways to get around Trump’s federal clemency actions. (Trump himself, thanks to his far-right pals on the Supreme Court, enjoys an expanded protection of presidential immunity; his underlings, however, don’t enjoy the same privileges… at least not yet!) Miller has also lamented the possibility that liberals will be filing lawsuits against him for years, if not decades, and complained about how the left will try to use “lawfare” to bleed him and his wife – former Trump official and current right-wing lifestyle podcaster Katie Miller – dry financially. (The Millers have a lot of money between them, and they lead at times extravagant lives and enjoy projecting an image of being some of the nation’s top MAGA socialites.)

Something I wish more people understood: The helicopters thing is an extremely online Nazi idea with its origins in Pinochet's death flights. If you got the attention of right wingers on Twitter, they used to love to tweet helicopter emojis in response. Collins is deep into online neo-Nazism.
