Britons kept in dark about scale of climate crisis, say viewers of ‘first-of-its-kind’ emergency briefing
Nine out of 10 people felt motivated to act after watching film outlining threats to food security, economy and public health The British government must be honest about the scale of the threat posed by climate and nature breakdown, researchers have said, after nine out of 10 people surveyed after watching a briefing on the issue felt more motivated to act. Last November, in the “first-of-its-kind national emergency briefing”, nine experts gave stark assessments in Westminster Hall in London of the scale of the changes needed in the UK to adapt to the rapidly changing climate and ecological landscape. For a long time I have heard rumours of secret plans hatched in Moscow by Isabel Oakeshott and Michael Ashcroft to discredit David Cameron ahead of the EU Referendum and I've always believed them.
X-Twitter Post by Isabel Oakeshott @IsabelOakeshott

For a long time I have heard rumours of secret flights into Manchester: plane loads of migrants. I have never believed it and still don't. If true, it should bring down the government.

Isabel Oakeshott runs squealing from David Cameron #piggate claims

Call Me Dave co-author admits source of pig anecdote 'could have been slightly deranged' and says different standards apply in books and newspapers

Fri 9 Oct 2015 16.03 BST

The hinges are coming off piggate.

Isabel Oakeshott, former political editor at the Sunday Times and co-author of Call Me Dave, the unauthorised biography of David Cameron that set social media ablaze with its tales of prime ministerial porcine passion, has further distanced herself from one of her book's most oinked-about passages.

“Destroyed a ULEZ camera” is an interesting way to describe detonating a homemade bomb in a residential street, sending shrapnel into homes and cars, and being convicted of causing an explosion likely to endanger life. Still, “camera” does make the fifteen years sound terribly unreasonable.
