It's late but it's #StillGoodSaturday! Snow Ambrosine, an elf in a modern-day fantasy setting, from my story 'Cog in the Machine'. She's some 300 years old, so drawing her in an 1880s dress is basically canon. This dress came from a Met Museum costume-a-day planner I had. Drawn 2014.

I'm getting tired of thinking "am I even an artist?" because I have no energy to draw, so have a thing I made up called #StillGoodSaturday, where I post old art I still like. Since my current WIP is an unhinged new take on my very first story, have this: Annabelle, a ghost. Drawn in 2009.

Another #StillGoodSaturday, from August 2017. Diana Wu from my story 'Heart of Steel', and her brother, @erin-hime.bsky.social's John Wu from her story 'Waiting for Superman'. I don't do cel shading very much, but this was an early attempt at trying.

The gossamer muslin used to create early c19th gowns was sometimes described as ‘woven wind’, an amazing description for the lightweight fabric. Here it has been embroidered with wool and I can only imagine the challenges that came with such stitching. C1815 #NGVMelbourne #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

In this same vein, enjoy this redraw of Cesario, originally a ghost from c. 1810 that I named after the character in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night* (drawn 2003). I leaned into the 'inaccurate' elements since he's now more of a fantastical being. Not fully satisfied and needs some tweaks, but not bad.
