Excited to share our paper on identification of secreted proteins during aging! Using proximity labeling and mass spectrometry, we identify secreted proteins that change during aging in C. elegans! Congrats to Jason Miklas and all collaborators! www.cell.com/cell-reports...

An in vivo resource of age-regulated C. elegans intestinal secretory-pathway proteins highlights secreted enzymes associated with lifespan regulation
Miklas et al. characterize age-related C. elegans intestinal secretory-pathway proteins using proximity labeling tools and in vivo proteomics. They identify a conserved secreted phosphatase, ACP7, that extends lifespan in a secretion- and phosphatase-dependent manner. This resource highlights the role of extracellular enzymes in regulating lifespan.
