My state costume celebrates one of Indiana's most iconic creations-Garfield, created by fellow Hoosier Jim Davis.
Born in Marion and raised in Fairmount, Davis turned an orange cat with a big personality into a character recognized and loved around the world.
But this costume represents more than a famous Hoosier.
The hand-painted comic panels on my skirt share messages inspired by my initiative, Captivating Confidence:
"Our differences are what make us beautiful."
"If we don't have love, we have nothing."
"Outer beauty attracts, but inner beauty captivates."

PSA for any PhDs required to submit their dissertation to ProQuest: The only way to stop them from adding your work to Turnitin and iThenticate is to opt out of making your work “discoverable through Google Scholar and other major search engines.” It doesn’t actually say Turnitin anywhere 🤷‍♀️

Incredible. When E—n M—k & his crew obliterated USAID in a weekend, they deleted a vast trove of publicly-funded knowledge: the Development Experience Clearinghouse. A Canadian high school student (!) happened to have downloaded the entire thing for a project. AidData has now posted it for all.
