this is exactly my opinion. there may be a superstrate of extremely difficult and unique safety problems around AI, but the substrate is simply that no one takes basic precautions seriously becasue they imagine (or pretend to imaigne) that it is futile, and basic precautions slow down launches.

There's not enough storage for diesel to do this without forcing refineries to cut run rates regardless of the price of diesel. Lower run rates means less jet fuel, bunker fuel, and gasoline and higher prices for those fuels. Cutting off their nose to spite their face.
