I grew up in the Christian and Missionary Alliance, and that was like if a Methodist and a Baptist had a baby, shoved it on a plane to go live overseas with strangers, and then put the baby's picture in an edition of Voice of the Martyrs newsletter as a success story.

former homeschooler here and this is nonsense. homeschoolers, like many other conservative communities, are taught to hate the vast majority of americans and huge swaths of the constitution. this hatred gets coded as “patriotic” while other critiques of america can literally get you deported.

I had a GREAT time watching The Mandolorian and Grogu. Every stick in the mud who can't just go in expecting to have a low stakes good time is missing out. This isn't Lord of the Rings. It's a Disney approved space Western. Just go to giggle at cute creatures and to cheer for Mando in the pit.

My favorite one to talk about is the one who wear Hawaiian shirts for the family Christmas pictures in our garage and grew his grey hair out long in protest against Trump in 2016. He also travels the world and collects coins and talks about his favorite pubs to my teetotaling Republican parents.
