I have officially completed the Astarion novel and flat out: I like it. I really liked it. Are there issues? Sure, but overall the story was fantastic and the new and established characters were a delight. I really implore people to read it (if you want) and make your own conclusions.

We can’t simultaneously protect women and protect masculinity. Men aren’t inherently a danger to women, but traditional masculinity is. Also, you CAN’T protect women, in the environment that supports traditional masculinity. It’s not possible, and in this way, it sets “good men” up to fail too.
