Hey Aotearoa! There's another price match on donations to the Green party now, and we really need them to be funded so we can have policy based on reality instead of racist vibes/billionaire bullshit. Donate here: www.greens.org.nz/amp_up_our_c... More info from the Green Party directly 👇🏼💚
Your gifts have a tangible impact:

$15 pays for a small billboard

$28 allows us to have 100 conversations

$40 pays for one large hoarding

$140 covers the cost of 1000 flyers

$275 pays for one of 9 field organisers around the country for a day

$1375 is one field organiser for one week

The coalition parties use their funding to stoke the fires of disinformation, division and fear mongering through the media and advertising.

By contrast, our ground campaign and field strategy is supported by evidence just like our policy.

We know that people vote because of trust and the best way to build people's trust is to have one on one conversations. The number of conversations Green volunteers and candidates are able to have with people is directly linked to the number of people who Party Vote Green. Generally, 1 in 3 conversations turns out a vote for the Greens! So it's crucial that we have the financial resources to amp up our campaign.

Your vote matters and is the only thing, on election day, that can elect a Green Government. Funding matters because it helps us have more conversations with people in our communities, including those who may not have considered voting Green (or voting ever!) before.

A selection from speeches from the debates on the Births, Deaths, Marriages and Relationships Recognition Act 2021. Any journos reading this feel free to ask any of the speakers whether they stand by these comments made less than five years ago. At the second reading: Nicola Grigg:
NICOLA GRIGG (National—Selwyn): I rise, as the National Party’s spokesperson for women, to take a call on the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Bill, which National is pleased to support tonight. Can I start by acknowledging the trans community of New Zealand who we welcome, we embrace, and I commit now that, so long as I am a member of this House, I will work to advance their rights and protections—and I say that to every single woman in New Zealand, irrespective of the sex marker on their birth certificate.
