Florence Pugh has an eloquent, fierce post on Instagram re Cornell College - & a question very relevant to New Zealand’s judicial system: “Those that protect and lightly sentence men that rape and destroy, should be punished and watched closely. Why are you protecting someone that fiercely?” #nzpol
Florence Pugh (Instagram):

I'm no longer tired- I'm enraged by schools protecting boys, in fear of their futures being wrecked. What about the life that those girls then have to endure, with the knowledge that his reputation is more precious than her truth?
Or to feel that no one with the power to do something cares that you were abused. It's further soul-destroying.
Those that protect and lightly sentence men that rape and destroy, should be punished and watched closely. Why are you protecting someone that fiercely?

NZ Herald, we’re allowed to say “who was in for violating a restraining order”. “Sending a text message” completely fails to reflect the impact on the woman he was stalking for a decade. Ideally we would reflect on the decision to minimise his actions in this headline / doubt we will etc 🫠

Journalists are crowing 'what's new?!' because they have forgotten that there is a second draft of history, and don't seem to recognise that a book like this, is it. This govt has literally forced the TPU into the *school curriculum* in its ideological vandalism, well here's the primary reference.

Just noting it’s the Australian Greens pushing to ban smart glasses, and who have prompted moves to regulate. Something for New Zealand to consider as we go to the polls soon is who consistently looks out for women and girls - and who consistently does not, through silence, inaction or bad policy.
"Smart glasses - otherwise known as pervert glasses - are hitting New Zealand, but as Australia announces moves to regulate this Invasive technology, how can we ensure New Zealanders - especially women - are safe?" privacy expert Frith Tweedie said.
Tweedie acknowledged that smart glasses - whose Al features can be used in concert with their cameras to give verbal descriptions of objects or read text - had benefits for those who were blind or had low vision.
"But there is also significant scope for misuse," Tweedie said.
"Think covert, sexualised filming at gyms, beaches, schools and changing rooms, exposure of identities and locations online, stalking and image-based sexual abuse."
