One of my most galaxy-brained takes is that politicians and political groups should talk more about workers’ share of national income. It's one of the clearest, simplest ways to describe how billionaires and corporate elites captured so much of the economy--and something policy can change.

So much good stuff here. This dumpster hauling semi is electric. We can do big things without diesel. Secondly, good urban design allows this pickup to happen without fully obstructing a bike lane. Nothing here will force people to mix with cars in a street. 📸 @electricfelix.eurosky.social

The whole merit conversation has to be thrown in the garbage. People get to where they are because they conform, not due to merit. There are many people who have the merit to hold positions or spaces of affluence. The determining factor is “fit” which is actually compliance

4 things that made me far less scared of cyclists as a pedestrian: 1. Thinking "did they 'nearly hit me' or did they just surprise me?" 2. If neither, "was there any credible risk of harm to anyone or was I just being a cop about it?" 3. Being aware that hitting me would very likely hurt them.
