One thing I find endlessly funny about the rise of AI is that it has revealed that there is a large number of people who believe that the reason they wrote essays at school or university is their teachers were desperately waiting for them to provide a definite answer to “Lear: what’s up with him?”

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

I pulled a back muscle Sunday. Possibly broke my middle toe y'day - bruised and can hardly put weight on. Just now stood in a small pile of cat sick. The other, huge, pile of cat sick has slightly dribbled between the old floorboards. I didn't sleep well. Still got to go to work. HELP ME. 🥺

Of *course* the ‘AI boom’ will make us poorer. It’s a ‘boom’ created by tech bros for tech bros, and they’re pretty much the worst human beings on the planet. How could it possibly do anything else?

Liar. Small boat crossings peaked under Johnson in 2022 reaching 46,000 in 2022. In current year they are 18,565 and falling. Also prior to Boris Johnson's Brexit there were none.
It's a disaster, and it can all be traced to
Labour ideology. Burnham has no mandate
from the people. He has no real ideas, and
no plan,

Imho the biggest risk to AI is fact it makes the internet fundamentally unusable for humans now. You can’t trust photos, figures, words or video. So what’s the point? In effect, AI has turned its main critical resource into a toxic waste ground. A lot like humans do tbf.
