Another big one is teaching your son to see girls as equals. Instead of enrolling him in sex-segregated sports, introduce him to a co-ed team. And help him foster his more “feminine” interests where we can be in mixed-sex spaces, making mixed-sex friend groups.

Every single trade union affiliated to the party of government has stood up and said we will not comply.

I love my job because I work in a unique shop with eclectic merch and a close knit staff. Was taken aback yesterday when a dad asked his kids if they’d want to work there when they were older and got immediate “No”s from them. Gerald and I both know the importance of therapy, having grown up with a violent father, but we didn't have the means to pursue treatment until adulthood. We're hoping to help his kids grow into young adults with the right tools to manage their trauma, so they don't have to learn it later as we did.

Years of litigation costs are still dragging the family down, and both kids are now in therapy and working to heal the damage from years of trauma: they're doing well in school, music, and sports, and my brother is now looking to secure funding to ensure they can continue necessary trauma therapy.

Every kid deserves a peaceful home where they can thrive. My brother has been working hard to build a loving, safe home for his two kids, but the financial burden of rescuing his children from the violence and substance abuse perpetrated by their mother still weighs heavily on his family.
