My third spiciest TTRPG take is that trad games grew beyond the need for the Ranger class a while ago. It's meandering mess of themes and half-assed inspirations (is it an Aragorn class? A Drizzt class? A Dirty Man of the Woods class?) that should be replaced by more woodsy options in other classes.
