Macklemore just announced he’s donating the $1 million he made from Sheeran’s tour to 6 organizations to support Palestinians and he’s asking Robert Kraft to match it. This is just the first part announcing it.

With everything that has happened over the last 48 hours, I want to bring the conversation back to where it belongs: to the Palestinian people who are still being killed, still living under military occupation, and still fighting for their freedom.

• There is a reason I do not use my professional platform for politics - my audience includes young people, often children, of all backgrounds. Those who come to my shows do not expect a political forum. I respect Macklemore's strength of purpose to stand up and shout for what he believes. However, there is room for multiple approaches to the same end: peace. I choose to use my fame and platform to be a place of safety and sanctuary, to maintain diplomacy and keep conversations open, not closed. If we only focus on shouting the loudest, nothing will ever change.
There are different approaches to being an advocate for change.

So uh, yes, Macklemore did that antisemitic costume thing over a decade ago so it's understandable to look at him skeptically, but how can Kraft say that his speech at MetLife was antisemitic when he explicitly made the same point Kraft is saying here? Kraft is just lying.

I tend to think all this talk of alignment and rogue AI agents is a kind of PR false flag - “Hey, look at this incredibly powerful but dangerous technology. You probably want really smart people like us to train it to work for us and not against us, right? To keep the guard rails on? If we don’t do it then China probably will, and god knows what kind of monster they’d put out there. It’d probably speak Asian. Anyway, forget about the frankly absurd natural resources we’re pillaging and the fact that your economy has become a massive Ponzi scheme of data centre construction, because we’re going to take care of you.”
