hey remember when i played all of the mass effects in rapid succession over the past couple months? well, here is what i have to show for that: a post attempting to articulate the virtues and vices of the most over-signified ending of a video game, possibly ever.

🎂🎂🎂Happy 27th Birthday, Dreamcast!🎂🎂🎂 I'll never forget the depth of your game library and how wonderfully diverse and creative your peripherals were

An illustration of Sonic holding the Dreamcast Twin Sticks next to Ulala from Space Channel 5 Part 2 holding a Dreamcast controller with a Seaman microphone, with Beat from Jet Grind Radio behind them holding a fishing controller. They are all intertwined by the cords of their peripherals, while behind them is a giant Dreamcast glowing gently over them. In the background are floating Chao, Light Chao, and Dark Chao, Amigo from Samba de Amigo, and a Chu Chu and Kapu Kapu. Also Seaman looking upset at Ulala, maybe Ulala said some crass words that he didn't enjoy

Hare today, goon tomorrow

Screenshot from Wikipedia that states:

One common ending has Little Bunny Foo Foo turned into a goon, with a pun ending "And the moral of the story is: Hare today, goon tomorrow."
[5][| This form of story telling with a pun ending is also known as a teghoot.

A good reminder that @animecornerstore.bsky.social still exists. I've ordered from them since I was a kid and it's a wonder they're still going. Website still looks like the way it always has and while prices are closer to retail, the service is smooth and has that personal touch.

fixed your headline

A hit song on the Billboard 100 charts is termed *$k$-good* if it is _ever_ in a weekly top-$k$, and *$k$-immediate* if it _debuts_ in the top-$k$.

An artist is *$(n,k)$-Olivian* if their $n$ first $k$-good hits are all also $k$-immediate.

*Headline 1.* Olivia Rodrigo is the first $(10,10)$-Olivian woman.
