No TERFs, no SWERFs, no cop apologists. A gestapo by any other name is still a gestapo. Genocide is bad, actually. So are concentration camps.

Exactly. I am tired of seeing the “I always knew”/“their work was actually bad” takes whenever allegations emerge. Sometimes—often, actually!—bad people find their way into good spaces and make good things. And you’re not better than the folks who were taken advantage of for “always knowing”

15/ That is the pattern worth seeing. Weaken the institutions that enforce labor rights. Reduce consequences for violations. Rewrite rules in employers’ favor. Then workers are left fighting company by company against corporations with more money, lawyers, data and technology.

12/ This is where the story gets chilling. Complaints about bathroom breaks, heat, equipment, rest periods or management are not only workplace problems to fix. They can become signals in a system designed to detect where workers may be moving toward collective action.

You know when public attention can reverse a prosecutorial decision like this you almost get the sense that the decision to shrug it off in the first place was not based on an assessment of the quality of the evidence so much as an assessment of the seriousness of the crime.
