Plus I save ~30 mins/day on my commute by blasting through the carpool lane. Over the 250 working days per year, that adds up to 5 entire DAYS I don't spend sitting in traffic. I will keep running the carpool lane as I have done every day for the last 5 years and will graciously accept the $490 fine whenever they get me again. I'd gladly take BART, but I need my vehicle for work. Sorry but I have 3 young kids and time is too precious.
