no fairy can resist a soft patch of moss to rest their weary wings 🧚

bastian, a fairy with muted colouration apart from their bright red tail, lounges in a soft patch of moss and weeds. dewdrops coat the grass around them, as well as their wings. they look at the viewer coyly.

I always found the comic kinda one note. It's just bad thing bad thing people bad worse thing bad thing bad thing someone survives. I kept waiting for it to surprise me but it's shocking without being surprising so it feels very thin.

I'm trying to watch the 2022 Hellraiser movie while I sketch but I forgot it's from the era of movies where they didn't light the set. It's so dark and so murky I adjusted my monitor and I can still barely see anything. 😭

what a fantastic all-timer thread on this phenomena and the psychology behind it I think about this all the time and not understanding this is the difference between successful liminal horror, and just horrorslop. liminal horror is about the baked-in hostility of public spaces we millenials saw die

"The False Erinyes" By me Digital Collage and Digital Painting #art #collage #illustration

Digital collage of a theater stage. A wooden floor red curtains and a dark green backdrop with hints of foliage. On the stage a scene plays out. A boy made of paper hung on a red string weeps and cries as he is attacked by strange creatures. The creatures are paper birds, but their heads are scissors with gold handles. Bits of paper flutter down and one of the creatures has its "beak " scissor blades open about to snip the red thread.

"Penance" - digital ink in Procreate. "O, that I may never forget the heinous offenses I have committed against those whom I claim to love; But in the remembering let me commit no further offense by being unduly burdensome. I pray to grant myself this suffering now and forever, Amen."

A digital illustration of a person kneeling in a glass cage. Their hands are folded in prayer around a spear which is piercing them through. On the front of the cage hangs a false smiling face; on the ground below is a welcome mat.
