NYT has now independently corroborated all the major allegations against Susan Collins in the ProPublica report, including that investigators were prepared to move against her and then Trump intervened to shut it down. This put Trump in a position of exceptional and extortionate leverage over her.

If the answer to that question is "no", then, arguing about trans women in sports is moot, b/c THEIR argument is about men in women's sports and yours is about women in women's sports, and you're not arguing about the same thing at all, actually. You have to start with the root.
