It would work is Terra's block gave him any I-frames in the way Aqua and Ventus have in their respective kits. The games tougher challenges are just that if your base character is mechanically disadvantaged.

Once again another factor is in play (though it was one of the things mentioned in the video so that's why I didn't include it here)! I do think a number of commander players do forget that Goblin Bombardment his anything despite it saying it on modern printings.

Could also be people are also less excited about a the 8th version of this effect and also the fact that it makes unique tokens that need to be represented and tracked as more of a downside for casual games than an upside.

I know Magic players on Bsky are a subsection of a subsection of mostly enfranchised players but even someone like me who thought they were on top of this thing have long since been able to keep up with set releases. I'm sure this will continue to pan out in the data for other cards of this nature.

You can say people don't want to play with Marvel cards and that may have a lot to do with it and also be that Marvel released less than 4 months ago and maybe not everyone has gotten their cards. However, we're also into our third year with 6+ sets available to commander players.

Was checking out the latest Tolarian Community College video and I had to pause when I saw this graphic posed with the question of "Why haven't people swapped to the objectively better card yet?" Not to knock everyone who works at TCC but I think this is the perfect culmination of EDH in 2026.

I think more people are annoyed it isn't fragmented further with 4 waves that are book-ended by the stuff people actually want and are filled with less than worth it stuff in the middle.

The two that have seemed to work the most are "Top Gun Maverick" and honestly the "Scrubs" revival. The only thing those two things have in common are that the people behind the scenes, say what you will, probably care way too much about what they're making and refuse to let it exist limply.
