I’d suggest the genre of profile journalism has some shortcomings

Just look at the glee on Nigel Farage’s face as he watches a Piddington resident cry about the overt racism she, her Caribbean heritage husband, and their two children have felt in the village during the referendum. Time and again he’s showing us exactly who he is.

A lot of people really have no idea what's coming with the energy crisis in the coming months. A lot of the crisis from the start of the war were postponed but those tricks can no longer work. We're about to see the worst energy crisis in 50 years.
Screenshot of an X post by The Hormuz Letter (@HormuzLetter) reporting breaking news about Saudi oil exports.
The post reads:
"BREAKING: Saudi Arabia has informed its European customers that late-September crude oil cargoes will be cancelled, due to the East-West pipeline being shut after last week's attacks and Yemen's Houthis taking over the entire Red Sea coast, per three sources to Reuters.
Yanbu had five to seven days of crude stocks left for export when the East-West line went down, per industry sources on Saturday, and cancelling late-September cargoes means Riyadh does not expect the line back before they run out. Europe has been taking Saudi crude through Yanbu because Hormuz has been closed since spring. On top of the pipeline, the Houthis appear to have struck the YASREF refinery at that same port this morning."

Sorry but this is tosh from Jim O'Neill. 10-year gilt yields did not rise by a quarter of a percentage point (25 bps) today. They rose by 15.5 bps. That's not great of course, but it's the biggest rise since May 15 — not "Liz Truss days". ( @lbc.co.uk - Andrew Marr Show)
On the state of the bond markets today, Lord O’Neill said:

'It is a tough day today. 10-year gilt yields or 10-year interest rates have risen by a quarter of a percent, which in one day is a lot. We've not had that since Liz Truss days… If your country, whether it be ours or others, is under the focus of, can they come up with a sensible fiscal strategy on a day where the markets think "Well, no you're not showing any signs of it" they're going to have a bad day. When I woke up this morning I thought uh oh this is going to be tough. I didn't think it'd be quite this tough but it's been a tough day.’
