Absolutely hilarious that I put out a newsletter with an essay about online disinformation bots as a form of marketing, and literally less than 2 weeks later a Russian data centre gets destroyed and the online extreme right just fucking evaporates. I could have used that as an example!

When you're thinking about banned books this week, please also consider banned themes. There's so much soft censorship-- i.e. authors of color/queer folks getting low print runs/no marketing budgets. Proving that people still want to read at-risk topics and authors is part of fighting book bans too!
