Dear beautiful women,
I've started this letter like ten times and deleted it every time because every time I start I cry. So I'm just going to write it.
Your flag matters to me. It matters so much that it's flying at a lesbian household where anyone walking by can see it.
I'm a trans girl so I'm not sure you can relate but I'll try. Most days I'm doing math in my head like which hallway is safer, who I can sit near at lunch whether it's worth saying something or just letting it go. I'm so tired. I don't think people who don't have to do it know how tired it makes you.
I walk past your house almost daily. The first time I saw the flag I slowed down without meaning to. It was just hanging there like it was no big deal but to me it was everything. It felt like the people inside would see me as who I actually am and I wouldn't have to explain or prove anything. My shoulders dropped for the first time all day and I almost cried right there in front of your home.
I know that living here isn't easy for gay people like you where not everyone is kind about it so putting that flag up means risking stares, comments or worse. You didn't have to do it. It would have been so much easier to stay quiet. You did it anyway, and that is the bravest thing I've seen anyone do. Every day it stays up it tells people like me that someone is willing to be brave so we don't have to be alone.
Now I look for it. Some days it's the one thing that makes me feel like I'm not imagining that I deserve to be here. When so much of the world feels like it's deciding whether there's room for me your flag says there is. Please keep it up. You might not know it but it's helping me get through the day.
Thank you for your courage, and for leaving the porch light on for the rest of us.

I recommend picking a game series and just starting at the beginning - iv and done this with the Witcher, God of War, and I'm currently going through DMC. It's such a nice way to experience games over time

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

On some level you're right, but my argument isn't "Steam is perfect" my argument is "Steam isn't coded with the planet killing machine". If I could buy my games directly from the developer I would but I can't. GenAI is also destroying society but that's more complex than a single post.

One of the ways I branched out with games was learning to let games tell me how they want to be played. I hated the FF7Remake demo because I was trying to play an action game, when it's a turn-based game played in real time. I have come to adore the full game because I stopped trying to fight it.

I read all the tutorials and am still dying constantly. The game language is just so singularly unique you really do need to take time to just figure out what it's asking of you, and I think you have to expect to get the wrong answer a few times before it starts to click. Fascinating game.
