soulsov is just a constant oscillation between "i want nice things for loic and ysme" and "i'm not sure if that's even possible (and if it was, the window for nice things closed before the story even began) so now i mostly want them to rip and tear until the narrative itself comes undone"

tbh the decent thing that has lost me the most friends is just being uncool with gossip at other people's expense. keeping dirt on all the women in a friend group or workplace and airing your personal grievances with them to who you assume is a "neutral third party" is creep behavior

One of my favorite and most effective design patterns is "tell the player exactly what you're gonna do to them, then do it." You can be SIGNIFICANTLY meaner to the player if you simply tell them ahead of time that that's exactly what you'll be doing, and also the suspense of the warning is a delight
