"you" are only the actions you take. only things that that happen are true. we each live in the sea of our own brains, so it can be hard to remember. i could be thinking about ordering pizza or planning a murder and it doesn't really matter which to anyone else so long as i do one and not the other.

My mom has a hummingbird feeder outside her window. Every day at sunset the bats come and mop up whatever the hummingbirds left behind. It’s really fun to watch them so close to the glass. I have some slow motion videos of them from a few years ago.

every once in a while i encounter a draft that has improved the prose or dialogue while kneecapping the scene's pacing or having made it too dense to enjoy and i have the saddest look on my face while reverting it

i said this once before but the deal with game writing is that it forces a lot of impact onto writing that means you cannot simply write a really good story, you have to write a story that converts well into the game's system. otherwise you are weakening your great story you have by gaming it
