I genuinely mean this. I cannot imagine a more bleak dystopian notion than the idea of all art being turned into slop designed to coddle my exact perceived intentions. The point of literature, film, music, and art is to be exposed to the interior lives of others. Who are these people.

Last year Chris Packham fronted a BBC documentary series where neurodivergent people are given resources to make short films explaining their experiences to their families. It's much more compassionate than dross that has decided neurodivergence doesn't exist www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...

We must remember the Utøya massacre, and remember it for what it was: a far-right attack specifically targeted against democratic socialist activists. Today, the ideologies of its perpetrator are openly espoused by a global network of nationalist oligarchs as they wage war on democratic societies.

Worth adding some numbers to this. The British press decided to make trans rights into an issue. It just wasn’t an issue before. This was a top-down decision. shado-mag.com/articles/opi...
Two striking statistics come to mind.
The first is how the British media decided to obsess over trans people. This is very clear.
Between 2012 and 2022 alone, trans-related articles went from just 60 to over 7,500. By 2022, there were at least 125 times more articles on trans people than in 2012. This has facilitated the rise of a far right narrative vis-a-vis "gender ideology" which is talked about in civilisational terms: In effect, trans people are being portrayed not as individuals but as the products of an ideology that threatens the dominance of 'man' and perceived traditional gender roles.
Fast forward just three years and we see the Daily Mail actively investigate whether any of Tyler Robinson's neighbours or roommates were trans, which would apparently help explain why he shot the white supremacist and Christian nationalist Charlie Kirk.

As ever, such a strange choice from the Labour leadership not to make more of the government’s genuinely impressive track record on clean tech when it’s delivering economic growth, creates a dividing line with the Tories and Reform, and could build bridges with voters lost to the Greens.

3) Don't play dirty. The bizarre claims about the Greens in relation to drugs and sex workers were desperate, embarrassing, and harmful. It is no wonder they did not work and instead reflected badly on our party.

Calling transphobia a 'gateway drug' to the far right undersells it. It's pure accelerant. Grimly fascinating to guess what crankery becomes any famous transphobe's secondary obsession, cos they all have one: 15 minute cities are fascism! Grok noncing is cool! ICE are good! We should kill all dogs!
Sharron Davies ranting against 15 minute cities, because of course she is.Suzanne Moore in the Telegraph saying she wants to... kill all dogs??Julie Burchill asking "does it matter if Grok undresses us all?" in The SpectatorGraham Linehan in the midst of his now four-day-long double down on Alex Pretti's murder being justified and fine.

In 1622, when the Ottoman Sultan Mustafa I was supposed to be returned to power after years of imprisonment, he instead barricaded himself in his room and refused to come out, telling court officials "I do not want to be the Sultan". Not sure what made me think of that.

It has long been known that Mandelson remained close to Epstein even after he was convicted of sex offences. He shouldn't have been appointed in the first place, and it is very clear that the Prime Minister must sack him immediately. We either stand with victims or we don’t.

This fucking psychopath
An excerpt from the quoted article that reads:
Raab, a former varsity basketball player from a Chicago suburb who became an Israeli sniper, concedes he knew that. He says he shot Salem simply because he tried to retrieve the body of his beloved older brother Mohammed.

"It's hard for me to understand why he [did that] and it also doesn't really interest me" Raab says in a video interview posted on X. "I mean, what was so important about that corpse?"
