Love this. Very grateful Hilly Fields did end up as a public park, and amused there's always complaints about the bins

Returning for a 20th album of sumptuous synthpop, Andy Bell and Clarke open up about supporting one another through bereavement, being happily uncool and battling the resurgence of homophobia

#kidlit The Boy (14) is doing Macbeth in English this term. It's made me wonder, there's loads of Shakespeare film adaptations but are there any book adaptations for kids? Either straightforward adaptation or in the way 10 Things I Hate About You was based on Taming of the Shrew.

Reviews of 2023 film Tuesday are very polarised but we were on the "loved it" side when we saw it at #LFF that year, and it's now finally on iPlayer! Don't read spoilers, and expect more humour than the premise suggests

Was out in Whitechapel for peak eclipse and wasn’t prepared for what a lovely few minutes it would be: people hanging out in a thin sliver of sunlight passing their eclipse glasses round, and calling strangers over to have a go, a man showing off the crescents that his colander made

I'm really looking forward to the eclipse - at last a silver lining to the absence of clouds! But I think there's going to be a lot of disappointed folk, seeing all the total eclipse photos being shared in the build-up...

Definitely not the only explanation. For example, maybe parliamentary staff are getting targeted for doxxing and abuse because of who their employer is? Not saying I agree or disagree with the move, but jumping to 'most politicians are corrupt' is pretty damaging imo
