Honestly, I know it has stronger branding but my biggest complaint is if they were going to adapt a old-school Sega arcade game as a violent, tongue-in-cheek, adult cartoon Alien Storm would have been a much better fit

much like tabletop games I think every fighting game is full of custom-made flaws that cannot really be fixed without making it a different game than it actually is, and you just gotta find the game where the flaws don't bug you too much

We're kicking off my ranking of fighting games for the Sega 16 bit powerhouse with the worst of the worst this #ScanlineSunday, Micronet's 1992 USA only release, Heavy Nova underneath the admittedly stylish pixel art and less than serviceable music is a fighting game that just doesn't really work

in single player your Doll can glide effortlessly through the air making skipping the seemingly tacked on platforming sections a breeze
