Emi Sakura's post about PAC is breaking my heart

The first time I spoke with him was in Ireland in 2018. When you're living in an English-speaking country, Japanese suddenly reaches your ears in a startling way. Our conversations always started with his "Otsukaresamade-su." Backstage, I wouldn't sense his presence at all, but then those words would arrive right by my ear like the wind. And so I'd search for him. There's no English phrase that translates it just right—its meaning encompasses hello, long time no see, glad to see you, good work, goodbye, good night, see you later, and all sorts of other things rolled into one. I think it's the kind of greeting that comes from the way he's confronted pro wrestling in Japan. It's time. As always, I grab my bag and climb into the car. I can't believe the show goes on. Today and from here on out, forever, I know I'll keep straining to listen. Thank you, PAC.

Something I think about often, re: PAC is that he's the only guy who's ever made Orange Cassidy break character. It happens during the roller spot in their Revolution 2020 match. PAC is so utterly straight-laced, so grumpy, so serious that OC starts cracking up when they make eye contact.

At All Out 2024 when PAC faced Ospreay, I told him after the match “That was very inspiring for someone like me to watch, I hope to one day be as good as you, man”
He smiled, thanked me and said “Awh Nick, you’re gonna be better than me someday.”

For the next 2 years, the conversations, advice, and positive thoughts going into things is something I always cherished.
To have someone that inspired me so heavily have so much belief in me, I almost couldn’t believe that it was HIM saying these thing to me.

PAC is one of the greatest innovators and Professional Wrestlers to ever do it. ❤️

unfortunately ive been into wrestling long enough to encounter a lot of deaths but this the first time that's. i KNOW know him. when i started watching aew during lockdown, pac was part of the brightest moments of my otherwise very dark days. he shouldve gotten to have so many more bright moments
