Early data peek at Illumina's new StrataMap spatial transcriptomics cellular resolution platform. Huge capture area (7.5 cm2) - we profiled human 🧠 at level of thalamus - totally 🤩. Agreed. Also as a community we need to (re)normalize asking critical questions at talks, conferences, random convos. Asking about scientific rigor sometimes takes a backseat to social considerations, esp when someone's charismatic or overconfident (student or prof). Ask kindly/thoughtfully, but ask.

Frontopolar cortex is so hot right now. But as the meta-analysis Jeremy whipped up illustrates there is a lot more work to be done contrasting the effects of medial vs lateral FPC stimulation to the pole in humans. Would love to see more human cog neuro studies using object-in-scene task.
