This month's @motherjones.com cover is astounding. Reposted with alt text:
Cover of the September-October issue of Mother Jones Magazine: a white background with the words "50 years of fearless journalism" in black print, centered above the name/logo of the magazine in large Bright Red. Below that in black, the words "the southern strategy — jim crow was dead and buried. Then came the Roberts court."

And then, framing those words, there are two sets of robes: to the left, the simple black robes of the Judicial Branch of the United States Government, as a Supreme Court Justice might wear; to the right, the white robes and hood of the KKK.

A white person's hand with cuff of business suit and shirt visible, reaches into the scene from the right, poised to grab the Klan robes.

According to ikea my baby is currently transforming from the goober on the left to the goober on the right It’s not *inaccurate* I suppose. Just a little haunted
Photo of an ikea flat pack furniture installation guide. On the left, a cartoon baby, complete with starfish-like arms and legs and one curl of hair hovers ominously over a crib with the mattress support installed about halfway down the crib wall. On the right, a larger cartoon baby with five curls of hair and somewhat defined stubby feet hovers over a crib with the mattress support installed down at the bottom of the crib walls. (This baby can ostensibly at this point try to climb out of the crib)

Normal people print photos of their family or vacations. Me? I order four giant lustre prints of a brilliant jumping spider looking like she’s experiencing a multi-stage existential crisis on a rock. No regrets. Look at those gold flecks shine! #BugSky #Photography #Macro #ParkourBug #OhMyDouglas
Four giant 16x20" framed prints arranged on a wooden floor, showcasing dramatic macro photos of a female brilliant jumping spider who is clearly the absolute main character. Sporting striking red and black markings accented with shimmering gold flecks, this glamorous arachnid model serves pure high-fashion drama across a multi-frame portfolio. In the top darker frame, she delivers a moody, mysterious glare. In the middle two frames, her huge eyes widen into a look of absolute, jaw-dropping cosmic realization. By the bottom frame, she is fully embracing her superstardom with an intense, unblinking close-up, proving that elite runway energy belongs to eight-legged divas.

Hummingbirds.
A four panel comic. In panel 1, a rufous hummingbird flies down toward a large hummingbird feeder with as many as 6 holes on top. He thinks "The humans put up a new feeder!" In panel 2, he lands on the feeder and gazes down at it. He thinks "It's huge. Many of us could feed here at once." In panel 3, we see a close up view of the hummingbird, and he's thinking "This could end the ancient rivalries. Usher in an era of peace. Interesting." In panel 4, an Anna's hummingbird hovers over the feeder and says "Hey, can I have some necta-" and the rufous hummingbird says "No."
