In English, if you want to tell someone to go for it / take a risk, you might say “you only live once” (or YOLO). But my favourite international equivalent is the Polish raz kozie śmierć. It means “the goat dies once” (literally “once, goat death”)

In a significant development, more than 100 MPs have signed an amendment that could thwart the UK Government's damaging plans to cut disability benefits. Let's get these numbers up - email your MP now: rnib.in/PIP25

Will you now lobby the government to reverse the changes to the warm home discount? Many of us have missed out because of the size of our homes I note that there's been no campaign from any disability charities to reverse these changes

@gwr.com TUAG is my right. I'm due to get a train from an unstaffed station. I can't book assistance because I don't know what train I'll need to catch. So what do I do? I won't be able to find the conductor on the train I need to board

Complaining about this and getting nowhere Can anyone who knows the law, please tell me is "we don't have the technology" a valid excuse? Yet, everyone else manages to have this mythical technology to put letters into a readable format?

The Equalities Act / DDA have existed since 1995. Despite this, I have to complain every single year to @plymouthcc.bsky.social because they supposedly don't have technology to ensure that letters are sent in a readable format. I've lost count of the amount of time I've spent

The reason you can't get a house, is because the Government doesn't build them. The reason you can't get in a hospital because the Government doesn't fund it. And your job doesn't pay because the Government doesn't make them pay. Nothing to do with immigration.

As a blind customer of Barclays I’m disappointed to hear that mystery shoppers were encouraged to “pretend to be blind”. Not only is this grossly offensive but also will fail to capture the feedback that’s actually needed about accessibility amp-theguardian-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/amp.theg...
