It's the Fullmetal Alchemist! Oh, and the short guy too, I guess. An Elric brothers sketchdoodle for the day😎 #fma #october3rd #art

Don't forget, it's October 3rd! Never drew Edward, but I do have some old Alphonse doodles somewhere in the house since I always loved his design. Drew him a lot before classes in high school. Here's a little sketch I did while listening to "Uso" and "Again".

Edward here has his arm from the first episode rather than the later redesign that happens around episode idfkin remember lol, rewatch needed. Other than that "3 Oct. 11" is etched onto the forearm and Alphonse has some battel damage while standing faced away.

As I'm typing this, something cool came to mind. Edward is preparing a transmutation here, and someone that has watched FMA could interpret the drawing as him about to repair Alphonse's body after a battle as Edward's cloak is also torn. It shows their dynamic with Alphonse being physically more imposing as the little brother and Edward being a smaller yet caring older brother, evident by his sacrifice of his arm and leg to bring Alphonse back.

This type of stuff never comes to mind when I'm actually drawing lol, I just said hmmm, back to back brothers, this looks cool🫠

The Elrics enjoying a moment of rest <3 #fma

Digital illustration of Edward and Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist in a field of flowers at dusk. Ed is fast asleep with a book still in his hand, leaning back against his brother, who is sat the other way, gazing up at the stars and the moon.

Pocket in Deadlock is a very difficult trial for the average ball and gun gamer, they cannot begin to imagine a NON BINARY character in their video game. And I mean that for real, they always go "ok where does it say that, where in the lore does it say they/them"

What breaks my heart with these is that, as usual, they are awesome, but I know the greater audience will refer to them as "Sonic's shitty friends" and I lose some joy again.

But I think it's worth emphasizing how selfish and duplicitous it is to go work with a public-facing, community-focused media org like MinnMax without disclosing this part of your past to them. (MinnMax confirmed to me they were not told.) Please support them if you can

- Prevenez mes parents

Say it louder for those in the back. This is especially important in entertainment where predators can abuse parasocial behavior and harass others behind closed doors and often end up getting away with it if someone protecting them choses to "make it all go away" for business.

Wild that it took multiple women in the industry, and beyond, sharing a ResetEra thread to get this in front of people's eyes. That should never be the case. Absolutely abhorrent at all levels.

I wouldn't normally comment on this, but it's been genuinely heartening to see a game I spent a lot of long nights on break into the 90s on Metacritic, which puts it above my other games. Thanks for showing it so much love, folks. It genuinely means a lot knowing how beloved the original loc is. 🥹

People really need to fucking re-learn the difference between "I don't like this" and "This is harmful". Not liking a thing is fine, but you don't get to dictate what others enjoy, actually. Especially not within fiction. Be an adult. If you don't like something, move on.

This is one of my favorite things. In the final dungeon, the chest messages change to notes from the translators talking about how much this game means to them, and encouragements to see it through to the end. Hits me right in the heart and reminds me why we do this work. Machines could never.
