This is such a funny series. The politics mostly boil down to saying the most important thing you can do is fight/kill for your country. What country? Any! doesn't matter! Pull the trigger! Could be problematic! But we mostly ignore it for biggest questions like "How cool is Grumman F-14 Tomcat?"

Genuinely one of the best boss themes in an RPG. There's a shift to the second phase that use a motif you've heard (slower, dreadfully) and it becomes that backing for some really crazy guitar stuff. Nishiki is one of the best out there RN. Goooood game. Underrated! You can read my review here!

*standing up at the town hall* I truly think people highly undervalue what James Arnold Taylor and most of that cast is doing (within the limitations he was given) in FFX. It's well and truly compelling! You can make it "better" maybe but I dislike the common wisdom that it was bad/intolerable

Theodora route down! Not as electric as Dietrich's story but in terms of systems/mechanics this felt a bit cleaner. Good retinue, some really solid maps. Felt good to be out and really *exploring* the map world with her. Treated Loretta as a full-time project and she has a great little arc!

I will say that a QoL feature I really with Fortune's Weave had was a way to tag allies that you want to prioritize recruitment for and just have them in a little sub-tab. Would be great! Not the end of the world that this isn't here but it would make the hub world stuff 3 times smoother.

That's Dietrich's route down in Fortune's Wave. Not quite a reviewer's pace but I admit I'm looking for stuff to write about. ~Really liked this. A great collection of weirdos and interesting world-building that avoids feeling too much like "lore." Teary eyes from one moment? What a neat surprise!

I reviewed the Trails in the Sky SC remake! A very solid way to play the game that thankfully comes with a tighter script than the first game's remake. They're not as charming as the originals but these are a welcome and inviting means for new players to get into a really great game series.

The idea that a writer must constantly quality thoughts is insulting to both the writer and to their audience. What determined the "best" and "worst" of a list I wrote? I did. I looked at art and said "This thing is better than that thing. And I respect my audience enough to not chicken out.
