Protip: Even if you run an all virtual business, get a private mailbox: UPS Store, mom & pop shop, etc. Business records are easily searchable, and there's many reasons why you don't want to risk doxxing yourself by putting your home address in the public record.

Thread: I saw some discourse from people who treated genAI voices as "just TTS." It can be a tool for things where unique VO is impossible (i.e. Siri), but an AI voice voice is recorded once. It's usually at a low rate with crap in-perpetuity usage terms in the contract. (1/3)

"It's safe now" is chilling and damning Chilling because I know the feeling when it's finally safe to speak an ugly truth without fear of the abuser's influence rising up to overshadow it. Damning because this is common enough in VO that some abusers don't even need to actively threaten it.

And, I cite Kiba because he was a spiteful prick. I knew him. It's safe now but he'd threaten anyone he hated with blacklisting. His grooming case was damning, but it could've played out different if he or someone protecting him abused legal threats to silence facts. The fear is real.

I summoned the stans on Twitter, but an important lesson in SH, grooming, and even toxic work cases: "Perfect" proof is impossible unless you can record everything. Most abusers work in subtle ways to protect their public image. You have to catch their mistakes to put together facts.

It took years for abuse cases like Vic Mignogna & Kiba Walker to go public. Many stories of abuse or shady practices in entertainment are cautious & anonymous because of threats whistleblowers face to hide facts. Speak the truth you can. The Truth is worth its weight in gold.
